Martha Raye & David Rose, 1939
Judy Garland met and started a relationship with David Rose on her 18th birthday. The studio objected strongly to the romance because Rose was still married at the time to his first wife, the comic actress and singer Martha Raye. Rose eventually left Raye for Garland, marrying her in 1941.
